Itinerary
Upon arrival, at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) you’ll receive a welcome from your driver guide. After ensuring that all your belongings are accounted for they will kindly offer you some mineral water or cold beverages. Following this you’ll enjoy a transfer to your hotel, in Arusha, where you can relax have dinner, and spend the night. This marks the beginning of your 12 day Tanzania Safari and Cultural Tour.
Depart at 8;30 AM, to Tarangire National Park for thrilling game drives and wildlife sightings. Spend the night at Marera Valley Lodge, where you’ll enjoy meals and a stay with breakfast included.
Covering a sprawling area of 2,850 km² Tarangire National Park is known for its landscapes adorned with baobab trees. It teems with wildlife. Boasts an impressive variety of plant and animal species. The park is particularly renowned for its herds of elephants well as an abundance of wildebeests and zebras that roam freely across the woodlands along the Tarangire River. Other residents include buffaloes, giraffes, fringe eared oryx gazelles, impalas, mongooses, hartebeests, crocodiles and hippos. These animals find sustenance in the form of shoots, bushes, grasses, acacias and prey.
Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of lions as they’re quite common in the park. If you’re lucky you might also spot dogs, cheetahs, hyenas or leopards during your exploration. Your knowledgeable driver guide will impress you with their expertise in locating and understanding wildlife behavior as you venture through areas of the park.
Tarangire is a haven for bird enthusiasts too; it’s home to, over 500 recorded species including francolins parrots starlings ostriches hornbills among others.
You can enjoy your lunch at the picnic area, within the park. Afterward, you will be taken to your accommodation, for dinner and an overnight stay following wildlife game drives and viewings. The game drives are one of the aspects of the 12 day Tanzania Safari and Cultural Tour.
After having breakfast at 8;00 AM you can embark on a biking adventure, in Manyara. Explore the village of Mto wa Mbu. Ride to the beautiful shore of Lake Manyara. Along the way you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the lake the Rift Valley Wall and even catch glimpses of wildlife like zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. Spend your night at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge. This package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The biking tour is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the villages beauty. You’ll pedal through farms visit schools, milling machines, churches and local bars while being guided by a local guide. The trails are mostly flat and easy to navigate. Throughout the tour your knowledgeable guide will share insights about the villages history its peoples way of life. Even teach you about beer making processes. If you’d like a taste of cuisine, for lunch simply let us know in advance and we can arrange for it to be prepared by one of the villagers.
Alternatively you can also choose to bike along the shores of Lake Manyara itself. This route offers views of the lake the Rift Valley Wall and occasional sightings of small herds of zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and various bird species.
In the afternoon you’ll be taken to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, which is situated on the outskirts of the Africa Great Rift Valley, where you can enjoy an satisfying lunch. Afterwards we’ll continue our journey, to Lake Eyasi.
This day is, about immersing yourself in the African culture of the Hadzabe tribe and their neighbors, the Datoga. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in activities that include hunting, nature walks exploring historical and social backgrounds and enjoying other fun experiences. Afterward we’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you’ll spend the night at the Ngorongoro Tortilis Tented Camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.
The Hadzabe are an group residing in the central rift valley of Lake Eyasi. They are one of the tribes in Tanzania that still maintain their way of life. Although not closely related to any tribes they share similarities with the Bushmen of Kalahari in terms of their lifestyle. The Hadzabe primarily rely on hunting. Gathering wild fruits for their daily sustenance. Exploring their history and traditional way of life offers an opportunity to learn and experience both theoretically and practically. The Hadzabe people are known for their kindness and warm hospitality; they are eager to share their valued history, culture, taboos, traditions and customs with visitors. Our aim is to provide an experience that truly reflects the lives of ancestors who lived here long ago. Have you ever had a chance to participate in hunting using bows, arrows, spears, clubs while being accompanied by dogs, as your companions?
It’s really exciting to go on a safari with the Hadzabe tribe, in Africa. You can stalk Dik diks. Set up an ambush for African hares aim your arrows at hidden Impalas or track the footprints of kudus. Every moment spent with the Hadzabe is truly an experience. It’s amazing to walk through the bush searching for fruits and berries while enjoying landscapes. Not will you learn about their history. Witness their daily lives but you’ll also get to participate in hunting gathering fruits and exploring nature. Additionally you’ll have the opportunity to discover the uses of plants as both food and medicine. After spending time with the locals you’ll be transferred to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner.
Start your day with exciting morning game drives. Enjoy the opportunity to view wildlife in the Ngorongoro crater. Take a break, with packed lunch boxes before embarking on a journey up the crater walls and continuing to Serengeti. Spend the night at the Serengeti Tortlis Tented Camp, where you’ll be provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Beneath the floor of the Ngorongoro crater lies an array of captivating wildlife that covers the land, in colors and patterns. This makes it an enchanting place to embark on thrilling game drives and witness big cats and the endangered black rhinoceros. The Ngorongoro crater, a caldera reaching 2000 ft. was formed through a powerful volcanic eruption. It also encompasses two craters, Olmoti and Empakai which’re perfect spots for immersing yourself in nature through hiking and walking safaris. Within this landscape you’ll encounter wildebeests, buffaloes, hyenas, waterbucks, jackals, elephants, lions, zebras, leopards, hippos, baboons, mongooses, monkeys and elands along with bird species like ostriches, stalings, bustards eagles etc during your game drives. Enjoy your lunches at the picnic site within the crater before continuing with your exploration. After a day, in the crater you will ascend its walls and head to Serengeti National Park for dinner.
You have the freedom to structure your days according to your preferences during this trip. Each day you can choose to start with an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. Alternatively, you can have breakfast first. Then head out for a game drive followed by a lunch and an evening game drive. Feel free to discuss these options with your guide to find what suits your interests best. You will be staying at Serengeti Tortlis Tented Camp, where all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included. To add some excitement to your experience consider taking a hot air balloon safari well.
The Serengeti National Park is a place boasting some of the breathtaking scenery, in Africa. It spans over 14,673 kilometers. Is renowned as one of the worlds top wildlife sanctuaries. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word “Siringiti,” which means an plain. This expansive wilderness offers a range of habitats for a variety of mammals, birds and reptiles surpassing any other parks or game reserves in Africa.
One cannot. Be captivated by the rolling plains of savannah and woodlands that characterize the Serengeti. It is famous for its migration circuit making it an ideal destination for thrilling safaris to spot these magnificent creatures. While exploring this landscape you may come across awe inspiring sights such as herds of elephants gracefully browsing on acacia trees or prides of lions cunningly setting their ambushes near herds. Start your day early in the morning after having breakfast and head out from the camp with your packed lunches, for a game drive from Serengeti, to Lake Natron. You’ll be passing through Kleins gate in the northeast of the Serengeti. Spend the night at Africa Safari Lake Natron Camp, where you’ll enjoy meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Serengeti is a place that cannot be fully explored in one or three days. Its vast plains stretch out into the distance offering experiences that change day after day. As you embark on your game drive, to Lake Natron you’ll have the opportunity to witness the breathtaking landscape and encounter a variety of animals and bird species. While driving towards the part of the park there’s a chance of spotting animals that you may have missed during your earlier days here. We’ll stop at a picnic point for lunch before continuing our journey, to Lake Natron through Loliondo. Dinner and Overnight at Africa Safari Lake Natron Camp. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included.
You can have a time at Lake Natron with a range of activities tailored to your preferences. Take walks to Ngaresero waterfalls admire the flamingos, by the lakeside and explore Masai villages through guided tours. Spend the night at Safari Lake Natron camp where you’ll be provided with meals, throughout your stay.

Depart, from the camp at 8;00 am carrying packed lunches to embark on game drives in the Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a stay, at the Burudika Manyara Lodge, where all meals are included.
After a series of experiences, it will be time for you to make your way, to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight. If you have some time you might want to explore the markets and look for African souvenirs. Make sure to check with your guide, about any stops.
