After having breakfast we will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There you’ll have the opportunity to descend, over 600 meters into the crater and witness an array of wildlife. The Ngorongoro National Park boasts a range of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and majestic African elephants. One of the highlights of this park is its abundant population of predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard that requires a keen eye to spot at times. During our visit to the crater corner lies Lake Magadi—a shallow alkaline lake—and it serves as one of the main attractions within this area. Keep an eye out for flamingos, hippos, and other water birds that can often be spotted here during your stay, at and beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
