After enjoying breakfast at your camp during the early morning sunrise you will proceed to check out and embark on a drive, towards the Ngorongoro Crater renowned as the Wonder of the world. Upon arrival, you will need to register at the Loduare Main Gate before descending into the Crater for a game drive. You’ll have the opportunity to savor a picnic lunch on the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is often hailed as one of nature’s marvels. This vast expanse resembling a crater but technically not one holds the distinction of being the volcanic caldera in existence and serves as a natural haven for numerous African animal species. It’s also one of those places where you can witness rhinos thriving in their natural habitat. Due to its towering walls that restrict animal migration expect to encounter creatures like lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, diverse bird species, and more. With some fortune and assistance from your eyed safari guide during just one game drive session here in this splendid environment known as “the Crater ” you might even have an opportunity to spot all members of Africa’s renowned Big 5 animals group; lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and rhinos. In the afternoon hours on. After this experience. You will ascend towards the rim of the Crater where you can choose to check in at a lodge (additional cost) or alternatively, we can take you to our regular lodge located in Karatu just outside of this conservation area, near its entrance gate.

Start your day of the 3 day safari, in Tanzania with breakfast at the lodge, or bring a packed breakfast and lunch along. Descend into the depths of the Great Rift Valley, where you’ll explore Lake Manyara National Park. The name “Manyara” originates from the Masai language meaning “euphorbia tirucalli,” which refers to a tree species used by Masai people as hedges for their homes and livestock. The park is known for its abundance of these trees as its unique tree climbing lions that can often be spotted taking afternoon naps on the branches. Additionally, you can expect to encounter captivating wildlife in this park, such as impalas, giraffes, buffaloes and dik diks.
As you enter the park you’ll be greeted by a forest nourished by underground streams. This forest serves as a habitat for monkeys baboons, bushbucks, and large elephants seeking shelter from the afternoon sun while munching on green branches, twigs, and herbs. Don’t miss out on visiting the Hippo pools and observing hippos along with birds like colorful flamingoes, pelicans, Egyptian geese, cormorants, and many others, at Lake Manyara itself.
